What is Fiverr and how it Works

Fiverr Strategy Guide for Beginners

Fiverr is an online marketplace to buy or sell services. All the services bought and sold in Fiverr are of 5$. There are many categories of services from online business and design to some crazy stuff. Fiverr charges 1$ for each sale. So if you sell a gig, you will get 4$. That is quite low but here you will be learning how to earn thousands from Fiverr.

What to Sell on Fiverr

Fiverr Strategy Guide for Beginners

Since you will get only 4$ from each sale, you should think what can you offer the buyers. Think of gigs that dont require very much hard work and time. This is true because the buyers on Fiverr want their service ASAP. And you will also not spend your whole day for just one gig. And if you do this, you will be out of time to complete other gigs. There are different types of buyers on Fiverr namely:
  • Individual Business Buyers
  • Company/Organizations
  • Fun Buyers

Individual Buyers

These are the individual buyers who spend on some gigs that help in their business or work. You can target such people by creating gigs like

I will create 5000 backlinks of your website

I will get 10000 likes to your Facebook Page

I will write a 500 word article that passes copy scape

These gigs sell a lot on Fiverr but to get orders for such services is hard as there is a lot of competition in these gigs. Moreover people prefer to buy services of those people who got good review or ratings. But thats not the point of worry. If are worried by the competition, then you will never succeed in life. Just give it a shot and check whether you are getting response or not.

Company/Organizations

These buyers are also similar to individual buyers but these buyers are usually long term buyers. A survey showed that Company/Organization buyers tend to keep a long relationship with their sellers. So if your gig is ordered by any company or team, then you may get future projects with them. For this reason it is very important to maintain good contact with such buyers. Not only this, these buyers can order your gig in bulk. But the best part is that these organizations have a strong social circle. So if they are impressed with your service, they might share it to their clients and such other people. This can get you more orders.

Fun Buyers

Funny buyers usually buy gigs for fun. They dont mind to spend 5$ on a funny gig. One day while searching, I found some gigs which are most selling and contain all fun type stuff.
Some of the gigs are

Fiverr Strategy Guide for Beginners

I will say anything as Harry Potter

I will write your message in the sand on a beach

I will write your name in calligraphy

I will reveal spoon bending trick

Well these gigs have got a good market because there are many different things you can do and sell them on Fiverr. Just search yourself for some fun and bizarre gigs and you will get many ideas of what you can do and earn.

Okay, these were the gigs that can be sold on Fiverr. But there are some gigs you should not sell on Fiverr.

What not to sell on Fiverr

Never try to sell gigs that are too much attractive. Once I saw a gig 10000 backlinks in 1 Hour. I just clicked to see what the person is selling and then I saw the ratings and the comments. Well the seller did provide huge number of backlinks but they were all of low quality. So because of such non-sense gigs, your profile can be filled with negative ratings and reviews. So try not to sell such gigs that can destroy your Fiverr profile and then you will have to create a new account.

I also did the same mistake once. The gig was I will setup your template on Blogspot blog. I just got one order but that order became a mess when it took so long to fix one bug in the template. At that time, I was not familiar with HTML and CSS. But this gig can get even worse when you are providing the person with a free template and are not able to fix an issue. So never try to sell gigs about which you have no knowledge.

So since now you know what you can sell, we can head over to the next section about creating gigs.

Creating gigs that sell on Fiverr

Fiverr Strategy Guide for Beginners

Title

The first and the most important things you need to know are about the title. Make your titles short and attractive. You can use 1 word with capital letters. So just use your brain here and see what keyword you want to highlight on your Fiverr gig.

Description

When I created my first gig, the description was very long. This is not good as the buyers want everything explained to them in detail but in short. What type of description would you want to read when you buy gig? The answer is simple. Make descriptions short and explain everything to them in a short way.

Do not add other matters that are not related to the gig. Also make your important keywords bold and highlight text wherever necessary. If you are thinking to highlight text, dont make your description fancy with different so much bold text and underlined words.

Video

It is recommended by Fiverr to add a video to your Fiverr gig. It is a very important factor to get buyers for your gig. This is true because if your gig is something serious, then the buyers are also serious. There are some buyers on Fiverr who use their money very carefully. So if they watch a 60 second video of yours saying what you are selling and some features of the gig, the buyers will order your gig in comparison to those without the video. If you are camera shy or you do not want to speak in front of the camera then just make a 60 second video with a movie maker. Just add a soft music and make some slides or pictures stating about your gig.

Picture and Portfolio

Just upload relevant pictures about your gig. Create your own picture using paint or other simple software. Dont even think to use Photoshop for a minute job of creating an image. Also upload some other pictures of your work you will do. Your portfolio is very important for buyers. So if they want a logo which you are providing but havent uploaded any projects, then the buyer will never turn back. Never copy others image and upload it as yours. Use google images to search for relevant pictures of your gigs and then turn on the label rights filter.

Tags

Use tags that are relevant to your gig. Do not use unnecessary tags for your gig. Your gig can be deleted because Fiverr will consider it as spamming. Also your Fiverr gig will be shown in such places where it is not required and as a result you will get no orders.

Getting more orders on your gig

Here comes the part of promotion. You can create a personal YouTube channel to promote your Fiverr gigs. Many people get flooded with orders by creating a blog about their services and promoting it. But the most helpful part is social media. Create a fan page on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and other social media websites to promote your gigs. Join Fiverr groups and promote your gig. But maintain a limit of your promotion because Fiverr can delete your gig anytime. This happened to many people and you can read on Fiverr forums about such cases. Got money on Fiverr? Then just buy some authentic traffic for your gig.

Tips to maintain the flow of Income

So if you are getting orders then it is necessary to maintain your income. You should continue getting more orders. By this way you can earn passive income by Fiverr. Some tips of doing this are

Conversation with buyers

It is always important to be kind to your buyers and having a good conversation. Never use false language or talk rudely to your customers. If your buyers are happy with your service, they can come back again with more orders or refer your gigs to other people also.

Maintain your gigs

If your gig is selling good and you have added some gig extras, then do not make any changes to your rates. If you are thinking that buyers love your gig and increasing the price of your gig extras (if any) will help you, then you are wrong. Just keep in mind that you are not the only one who is selling on Fiverr. There are people better than you or people who can be better than you if you do some silly mistakes.

Creating New gigs

Just never get stuck at limited number of gigs. Expand your gigs and create different revisions of your gig by giving much more to your buyers.

Promotion

If you are getting orders by promoting your gigs, then dont stop promoting them. It is very helpful because as your social media presence increases, you will get much more orders. Also ask your customers to leave a positive feedback if they liked your gig.

A Trick that can make you rich

Well this has now become very common, but still you can earn huge piles of money by using this trick. Its just selling PLR products. Make gigs like:-

Fiverr Strategy Guide for Beginners

I will give you over 50 PLR articles related to lose weight

I will make you lose 20kg in 30 days

Just provide them the PLR books/content and earn money. This has got a large market as you can find different PLR books. But never hide what you are offering to your customers. Otherwise it will lead to negative feedbacks. Just search some gigs on Fiverr that sell PLR articles and see what they are offering and how they are offering. You can see on Fiverr forums how people are generating money using this trick.

If you want PLR Articles worth 300$, do shoot us a mail, we will send you all for just 6$

Making your Fiverr profile shine

If your Fiverr profile is updated and has everything about you, then it is good because profile matters a lot. Write an awesome Fiver bio. Dont write fake information or skills about you. Just write what you are but in a good way. Upload your profile picture. Check the profiles of top sellers. You will see what and how they present their profile. If your profile is neat and clean then there are more chances of getting orders on your gigs.

You might have the talent, but you are scared to tread the path of a writer because you know that it is not easy. Instead, it might be countless number of years before you can really make it big. This is what many natural writers out there think who have the talent in them, but not the financial strength that is required to convert the write up into a book. It all sounds complicated, but not anymore, because now with the emergence of eBooks, things have become real easy, at least easier than the regular book publishing. So here I am with a complete newbie guide to start making ebooks and earn money from it.

Beginner's Guide To Make Money Selling eBooks

eBooks Adding the Charm

Many writers upload their stories for free just to get the reaction from the audience, but the funny thing is that now with eBooks, you have the potential to earn your living, provided you do it right. It is time consuming, but you dont need to spend fortune behind getting your book published. So, after doing all the hard work of compiling a story for your audience, you can easily spend some time to promote it and get in touch with your real audience.

Making the eBook readers aware of your presence is important, so you need to take the help of various social networking sites and blogs to promote your books, or even learn some basic Blogging and start a new blog and promote it over there. Adding a hint of marketing strategy to your eBook, you will be able to sell your eBook successfully and if you have got what the audiences love, then you can spin some good amount of money out of it as well.

It all Starts from the Scratch

You might have read that by selling an eBook, one has become a millionaire and that's the reason you are trying your hands too, well this a completely wrong approach. You need to write properly and your content must be great in order to see audience coming in. If you do not have the content right, then no matter how cheap you sell, your eBook will go unnoticed. Price matters only when your content is good, otherwise nobody will give it a second thought. Kindle and iPads have made it easier for the self published writers to get their own niche out here. Publishing an eBook to thousands of potential audience out there is some kind of a thrill that even a novice writer can experience these days.

There are millions of writers who are publishing their work worldwide and once you are in there you will see thousands of titles waiting to be taken up by a new writer. So, out there you are spoilt with choices, you just have to pick up a title and you will be good to go.

You have to decide whether you want to work on fiction or you are more comfortable with non fiction. Once you have decided on that you can then take the help of a tutorial or some kind of a guide, which will assist you in coming up with a great piece of work. Crime thrillers, paranormal romance or fantasy world works just fine for the audience. Actually these are the genres that are quite popular and you will get enough audience for this niche. So, if you are comfortable with this genre, then you already have huge audience ready to explore your work.

While writing you must keep in mind that your work must not be filled with grammatical errors because when your audience is paying for your book, then they must get the best. In order to become a successful eBook publisher, then you must not work in haste, instead you must take your time to proof-read your work properly.

Length and Cover Matters

Most eBooks are short because when you are reading on your Smartphone, then it is easy to get distracted and sometimes it is tough to go through a huge novel out there. Therefore, if you keep it short, then it will be easier for your users to go through it without any major hitches. The readers here mostly go through the books while on a go, so you must keep that in mind while writing your book. This will help you in keeping your story short and sweet.

In here, the cover also matters a lot because when you go online, the thumbnails are on display, so if you have an attractive cover display, then it will be easier for you to attract the audience to your book. You can buy stock photos for the cover or if you prefer it for free, you can take up a DSLR and shoot pictures related to your eBook and use it as a cover. I was planning to buy Nikon D3300, but after the rumors of Nikon D5500, I paused my purchase.

If you are not good at designing the cover, then you can hire someone who is good at this. It will cost you, but if you want to sell your book online, then you have to take it seriously and work towards presenting it in the right manner, else how you can imagine it selling several copies!

Set the Price

Now the next step is to upload the book with a suitable price. But, before you do that you will have to come up with a small description of around 4000 characters. This will help the audience to get an overview of your story. You dont have to give out the twist and turns of your story, instead you can provide some sample.

If you are not sure how to go about the uploading process, then you can go through the video tutorials to make your work simple and easy. So, if you are done with the uploading, then it is time to set a suitable price for that. Amazon charges 70% of cover price, in case, your book is priced over 1 and if you have it priced at 75p, then you will have to give 35% for the titles. So, as a novice, it is better to keep the price to minimum.

Spreading the Word

You are all set with your book, but how would you make people out there aware of your book?

You will have to spread the word through social networking sites and if you do not have a website of your own, then it is high time that you create one for yourself because it will come out handy for you in promoting your book. Your friends and family members will be a great support too. Explore all fields of promotion for your book.

If you have done your job perfectly, then it is a matter of time before money starts rolling in. Don't start thinking that your very first piece will make you a millionaire, instead take your time and gather the experience to make yourself a better writer and in case you are good at writing, then you will surely make it big in here. How to Promote a Website/Blog ?

This is a very normal question, in fact a FAQ asked by many newbie bloggers on various platforms. And they find answers which they couldn't understand. But here in this post, you can get clear idea on "How to promote a website?".

Promoting a website or blog is a very simple task. You can advertise it by spending money or you could post your content on various platforms for free. Social media sites are very large in number out of which Twitter and Facebook are very famous with vast number of active users. So, promoting here would be the best option to gain traffic. Also remember, you do not get a single backlink if you promote here. You could just gain Link popularity by this.

Social Media Sites

Let me list some social media sites where you could try your own social media marketing strategies and drive some decent traffic to your website/ blog.
  1. Twitter
  2. Facebook
  3. Google+
  4. Stumbleupon
  5. Reddit
  6. Quora
  7. Tumblr
  8. Viral Content Buzz
The above mentioned are more than enough for promoting your blogs. Everybody will have idea on promoting their blogs on Twitter, Facebook and Google+. So, I need not tell more about them. But, a simple suggestion is to have a page on the blog name of yours and post in it daily. And when coming to Facebook, join various groups and post content there.

Social Media Promotion

You were given list of Social media sites where you could post your content using your own social media marketing strategy. Now, we will move on to the ways of promoting your blog using other 5 sites mentioned above other than the top 3 sites.

Using Stumbleupon For Social Media Marketing

Using Stumbleupon For Social Media Marketing
Many of here must've heard about Stumbleupon by now, but not sure on using it. Believe me, it is a great platform to drive traffic to your blog. All you need to do is, just submit your blog URL in it and wait for traffic. But before that, be active on Stumbleupon for some days and research on the options available in it. Get some good number of followers. Later, when you know how it works, you could submit your post in "YOUR LIKES" page. Just click on your profile and you could then see "YOUR LIKES" page. Submit it and you are done.

Using Reddit For Social Media Marketing

Reddit is another great source to drive traffic to your source. But, using Reddit is very tricky and to be frank, I've failed in using it. You'll have karma points in reddit which shows the users engagement on your posts. You should try to entertain them and get more Upvotes for every post of yours. Your karma points count will be increased slowly and once you reach 150+ karma points, you can post your blog URL. And trust me, you will be surprised to see the increase in traffic once you post your URL. And unlike other social media sites, you should post only ONE post a day in Reddit. Reddit can also be used to research on keywords. Isn't it helpful?

Using Quora For Social Media Marketing

Using Quora For Social Media Marketing
Quora is another best way to promote your blog and personally, I love it. Quora is where you would not find any ads and where you could post any question that comes into your mind. People will answer your questions very fast and in the best way. There is also an option to Anonymously add a question and wait for answers. If you answer for a question, you get some credit points. If you are asked to answer some question, you get more credit points.

But, how this could help you in promoting your blog? It surely does. If you come up with a question for which you've already given an answer in your blog, you could just put up your blog URL for reference. The chances of people visiting are more. Also make sure that you do not put any links on the question. That is against the rules of Quora. Each and every single question is scanned and edited by Quora. So, never misuse.

Using Tumblr For Social Media Marketing

Tumblr is another source to get traffic to your blog. But, you should concentrate on building up followers and also the design of your Tumblr blog. You may find it little boring at the beginning, but once you are used to it, the chances of you getting good number of followers increases.

Using Viral Content Buzz For Social Media Marketing

Using Viral Content Buzz For Social Media Marketing
VCB ( Viral Content Buzz) is one great social media site. In VCB, you first link up your Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin accounts. You'll have 10 credits on your sign up. Once you start sharing content that is available on it to your profiles, you earn some credits.

Suppose if you have around 1000+ people on your Facebook page, you earn 4 credits on sharing an article. Once you earn some good count of credits, you can click on "ADD PROJECT" available there and simply give your article's URL and post it. You've to put good amount of credits you earned to that article so that others could share it. In simple words, others get credits you put up for that project. It's like a money transfer in your banking services.

Round Up

Last but not least is Guest blogging and also Blog commenting. These are helpful in creating backlinks for your blog.

The above are the best possible ways that one could promote their blogs effectively to gain huge traffic. Feel free to comment if there are any other sources you use to promote your blog. Happy Blogging.

Social media can be one of the most effective tools you use to market your website, or it can be a complete waste of your time. I am surprised at how many people I work with that tell me they tried SEO, and it did not work for them. They think that just because it did not work when they tried it, that it is the problem of social media.

10 Mistakes You're Probably Making On Social Media

There are so many mistakes I see made that stop them from becoming successful on social media. I am going to focus on the top 10 that I feel I help people with the most, so you also can see more success on social media.

Mistake 1 - Not interacting with your followers/friends

This is probably one of the most common mistakes that I see. I will visit a profile and see a number of customers, or potential customers, that have left a comment or question that was never responded to.

10 Mistakes You Are Probably Making On Social Media
Or even worse, someone leaving negative feedback that is not resolved. One of the easiest ways to kill your reputation is to have negative feedback. While all of the best brands in the world will have some kind of negative feedback, it is VERY important to respond to those comments. If you can turn an upset visitor into a happy one, there is no better testimonial.

Many times, people forget that social media is just what it says, SOCIAL! You need to socialize and interact with your friends and followers. They want to connect with you personally, and it is your job to make them feel that connection.

Mistake 2 - Too much selling, not enough helping

Just as I previously mentioned, your friends and followers want to personally connect with you. One of the quickest ways to make you feel not personal is to be selling too much.

I am not saying you can never sell something to your friends and followers, but that is not why they followed you.

Your job is to connect with them on a personal level. You need to be posting things that help them. All too often, I see a social media profile filled with posts saying Click here to get the best deal in the world!

The truth is, no one is going to pay attention to those if they do not trust you and feel connected. Most your posts should be posts that help your friends and followers, that do not benefit you in any way. I know your product will probably benefit them, but they will not see it that way if there is a price tag tied to it.

One of my favorite things to do is to follow those people I work with and every once in a while I will help them if they have a questions or just check in to see how things are doing. I have people that are constantly sending me messages with their latest accomplishments. Not only does this make me feel good because they are succeeding from my help, but it also shows that they are connected with me. I guarantee that if I were to send a sales message to those people, they will be much more inclined to look at what I am selling.

Mistake Three - You follow people to get a follow back

Your social media profile is not about the number of friends or followers you have, it is about the amount of quality active followers you have.

You can have 10,000 followers on Facebook, but if no one sees your posts or cares about you, they are irrelevant. You need high-quality active followers, and following hundreds of people is the easiest way to get a few people that really do not care about you.

There are two problems I see with this method that so many people use. The first is just what we talked about, that most those followers are not going to be quality followers. The second problem is that it is not hard to see who does this. If someone randomly adds me on Twitter, and I see that they follow five times as many people that follow them, I know exactly how they got these followers.

You need to be focusing on quality connections. This is just going to be a waste of time and could get you banned on many social media platforms.

Mistake Four - Not scheduling your posts

If you are not careful, social media can take up all your time. No one has the time to spend all day on social media to be posting to their followers. The problem is, you need to be able to send updates throughout the day.
10 Mistakes You Are Probably Making On Social Media
That's where post scheduling tools come in. You can sit down and create all your post for a few days and schedule them to go out at different times through the week. Then you sit back, and let your social media work.

Not only will this free up your time as you are not sending updates all day, but it will help you do all your social media posts in a single sitting and be much more effective with your time.

As you are building your business, time is the most valuable asset. The more time you have, the more successful you can be.

The two tools that I suggest for scheduling your posts are Buffer or Hootsuite. Each of them have different advantages. Buffer is better at scheduling posts, while Hootsuite makes monitoring all your social media profiles in one place, simple. I use both but spend most my time on Hootsuite to interact with people.

Mistake Five - Posting at the wrong times

One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to post at the wrong times. You could have the most amazing posts, but if no one sees them, it will not matter how great they are.

You need to be selective about the times you are posting. Each social media platform has different types of people and different peak times.

Mistake Six - Paying for followers

This one is similar to following to get followers, but please do not pay for followers. There are places out there that you can follow someone for points, and then you can give those points to someone else to follow you.

The downside to this is obvious. Not only are those going to be very low quality followers, but most of those are not even real accounts by real people. You are just wasting all your time and money by doing this.

When I am trying to find influencers in my industry (People I want to work with to help grow my business), I search their social media authority. If you have thousands of bad accounts following you, your social media authority is going to be VERY small and those that use it will not consider you an influencer or want to work with you.

10 Mistakes You Are Probably Making On Social Media

Now, not to sound like a hypocrite but I believe there is one time when this would be OK. When you are starting off on social media you are not going to have any follower or friends. I do suggest using a tool like this to grow your first 100 followers so you do not look like you are insignificant.

Yes it is true those followers are not going to turn into anything, but I know when someone wants to work with me and only has 3 followers, I am much more likely to decline. They are not able to help you if they do not have an audience for you to work with.

100 seems to be a good number as it will look much better, and 100 bad followers is not going to hurt you. As you grow your authority, you are going to start to get spam followers regardless. The number is small enough that it will help you with visual authority, much more then it will hurt you in page authority.

Mistake Seven - You're boring

Have you ever gone to a movie and left halfway through just because the movie was so bad? It did most of the right things. It made the movie, marketed it, sold you a ticket but it was not even worth the $8 you spent to finish the movie.

10 Mistakes You Are Probably Making On Social Media
This is what many people do. They will do the marketing and get a good quality following, and then they do not post anything that keeps the readers attention.

Just like you in the movie, your readers are sure to leave early and unfollow you.

You need to have some personality in your posts. Give them information that will help them and applies to them. If you have people following you that like motorcycles, don't ask them for parenting tips when your baby is crying. There might be one person out there that can help you, but most will hate the post.

One great way to not be boring is to motivate people or make them laugh. If you look at viral videos, most of them are videos that educate masses, newsbreaks, or something that makes you laugh.

Now, I cant tell you how to be funny, but I can tell you how not to be boring.

Mistake Eight - Not completing your profile page

We are pre-programmed to see spam accounts. One of the easiest ways to detect a spam account is they do not take the time to complete the profile. Having an incomplete profile is one of the easiest ways to show that you are not important.

While the whole profile is important, the worse thing you can do is not even have a profile picture. A profile picture shows who you are and makes the visitor feel like they know who they are talking to. Having the default gravatar is sure to stop people from following you in the first place.

Mistake Nine - Using too many hashtags

Hashtags are a tool that let you set a category for your posts. You can type a # and then a word and if you click that hashtag it will show you anyone that has used that hashtag.

10 Mistakes You Are Probably Making On Social Media
Hashtags are a great tool, but there are two main problems that I see when people are using them. First, they use too many of them, or second, they use them incorrectly.

When using hashtags, you want to make sure you do not post so many of them that your post looks like it is all hashtags. I generally recommend using one or two hashtags per post.

You want to make sure your hashtags are not too long. You do not want a hashtag that is really long. For two reason, it makes your post look more like spam, but most importantly, you want to use hashtags that everyone else is using.

If no one else in the world has used that hashtag then no one is going to be clicking on it to see your post. Make sure you keep it short, and use hashtags that you believe to be common.

Mistake Ten - Talking negatively about others

This is one of the quickest ways to lose credibility. When you talk bad about others, you put out a negative vibe to your followers. Many of those followers are people that you might work with in the future. If you post a lot of negativity, it will be hard to connect with people. Post positive, happy, uplifting posts.

We all have negative things happen to us, but we need to keep those off social media.

Just recently, I wrote a post about why I did not like a service. I had good reason why and thought that people should know about the service before they get into it. My intention was not to write bad about it, but to show a site that might not be the best for everyone.

10 Mistakes You Are Probably Making On Social MediaNot too long after I posted it, I was talking to some people in my industry that I was going to guest post for. One of them wrote back and told me that the post was a bad post and it was the main reason he did not want to work with me.

Apparently, he loved the service and was offended when I mentioned something I did not like about it. Even though I was not intending to talk negatively, that is how it was taken, and I lost out on that opportunity to gain new fans.

I went back and wrote it again, and instead of talking about what I do not like about that service, I talked about what I liked of the service that I would recommend and removed the negative parts. Not only have I not had issues, but the amount of shares from it was much higher as well.

Now I want to hear from you. Is there anything that you have found to be bad on social media? Have you fallen into some of these traps? Comment below with your experiences.
Have you ever thought "Why many Newbie Bloggers are still at the same position from where they had started ?" Because of these 4 Common Mistakes they had made when Starting a new blog. Today in this post I will help you realize what mistake a newbie blogger generally makes when launching a new blog, It might be possible that you had also made the same mistake, due to which you are not earning money. So let's start

"You Can Never Make The Same Mistake Twice, Because Second Time It's Not The Mistake It's A Choice"

4 Common Mistakes To avoid When Starting a New Blog

Do you think Starting a Blog is Easy ?

Yes Starting a blog is very easy, you will be amazed to see the statistics that daily 1000's of blogs are started and 1000's of blog die. It is because launching a blog is very easy but maintaining it is a lot tougher and standing out of your competition is the toughest. Only the Tough guys who are ready to do Hard Work stand out finally.

As I said earlier, my major concern is to help you realize those 4 common mistakes a blogger should avoid when starting a new blog. Let's have a look on them :

Mistake #1. Sitting All Day Redesigning your Blog :-

This is one of the most common mistake any new blogger makes generally. Even I had also made this mistake in my initial blogging days because we all want our blog to look like ShoutMeLoud, Aha-Now etc. But my Friends, these blog are standing from a long time, so they have many more quality resources as compared to what you have.

It is recommend to have an attractive blog design, but we should not give major priority to it because Blog Theme/Template is not only the one thing which decide your success or failure.

When I was new to blogging I had spent more than a week to get a perfect theme. I also wanted to make my blog stand out but at the end What I got was failure and Wastage of Time. If I had invested this precious time in creating content and doing SEO of my blog that would have helped my blog to rank higher on Search Engine.

It is not only wastage of our time but we also loose some of our readers as well because when they visit they get to see a huge change in the entire look but no updates in content due to which they stop visiting your blog and jump to some other blogs.

What to do Now ?

So before you start a new blog 1st start and gather all the necessary things you want to have in your blog design, it might be your blog templates or plugins and don't change it for a long time, to avoid wasting your precious time.

A better way to get a new quality theme is to purchase a new premium blogger template which are already SEO optimized. If you have some more money then hire a designer, to tweak your theme.

Mistake #2. Being Over Ambitious to Get Readership :-

Being over ambitious kills your blog instantly, I know we get excited after creating a new blog sometime we get over ambitious which leed us to do so take many wrong steps to get readers for our blog.

For Example you start reading posts like How to Drive 1000-10000+ traffic daily to new blog. These posts have nothing new and are only used to get your email subscribed with their newsletter. I know we want to drive traffic but getting high traffic to a new blog is not a one day-night task, it takes a lot of hard work and patience.

It is natural that we too want subscribers who come and read our blog daily to get subscriber what many new blogger do is:
  • Adding popups email subscription widget.
  • They Place email subscriptions above the post
  • Place email subscription widget in middle of post
  • Placing Email Subscription widget at the bottom of the post.
By this you are forcing your readers to subscriber. This is the major common mistake Why your visitors are not coming back.

What to do Now ?

Allow everything naturally, as I said above getting 1000 to 10000+ readers is not a one day task, it requires time, patience and hard work. Only add two subscription widgets on your blog one in sidebar above the fold and other below the post to convert most of the 1st time readers to your daily readers.

Mistake #3. Accepting "Content is the King" :-

We all have came across many articles saying "Content is King" right? I also agree that content is king and we should create quality and unique content only. But my point is only writing quality content will not bring traffic to your blog, or help you get higher rank in search engine's. There are many other things also at which you have to focus.

Why I am saying Content is not everything ?
There are many blogger who are creating immensely high quality content, but this will not get noticed by the millions of readers who are surfing blogs from Search Engines.

As you are in the field of Blogging, you have to get noticed by others so that they can get to know you and your blog exists.

What to do Now?

To get noticed by readers, one can do guest blogging which is the best way to do Off Page SEO of blogs and drive tons of targeted quality traffic. As well as you can drop comments on CommentLuv enabled blog related to your niche to drive traffic. I get 10% traffic to my blog is via blog commenting, so don't neglect the power of effective blog commenting.

Mistake #4. Over Optimizing New Blog with Ads :

This is another most common mistake a new blogger makes, they put so many advertisements on their blog which looks odd and due to which readers don't come again.

Why a new blogger do that? It is because new blogger want to earn money as quickly as possible, due to which he place so many ads that a 1st time visitor get frustrated and leave the blog suddenly which give high bounce rate in return.

What to do Now ?

Remember Blogging is not the way to earn money in just few weeks, except event blogging It requires time so keep patience focus on content of your blog when starting. Then once you have sufficient content start placing advertisements on your blog but don't over optimize it with ads, so that readers don't come back. So focus on content and the ways to drive continuous traffic to your blog.

Your Thoughts?

These are just few of the common mistakes newbies make, there are many more mistakes which a new blogger make when starting new blog. If you have any more you can add that in comment below I would like to update this post in future as well.
